Feestelijke afsluiting 'Culture & Crafts'

De afgelopen zes weken heeft een groep vrouwen in de cursus 'Culture & Crafts' gewerkt aan empowerment, presentatie en het maken van mode. Tijdens deze feestelijke presentatie delen zij wat ze gemaakt en geleerd hebben.

Culture & Crafts is een korte cursus en feestelijk presentatiemoment georganiseerd door Nigerian Woman of Interity (NWOI), United Nigerian Platfom (UNP) en SKVR en is onderdeel van het Mode en Erfgoed programma van SKVR Hillevliet.

Tijdens de feestelijke afsluiting staat de Nigeriaanse cultuur centraal. De deelnemers laten in hun presentatie zien met welke elementen uit de eigen en andere culturen zij gewerkt hebben. 
Verwacht een feestelijke middag met modeshow van de zelfgemaakte creaties van de deelnemers. Er is een DJ en kraampjes met heerlijk eten en drinken.

Over the past six weeks, a group of women have been working hard during the ‘Culture & Crafts’ course, focusing on empowerment, presentation, and fashion design. Now, they’re excited to share what they’ve created and learned.


Culture & Crafts is a short course and festive presentation organized by Nigerian Woman of Integrity (NWOI), United Nigerian Platform (UNP), and SKVR, as part of the ‘Fashion and Heritage’ program at SKVR Hillevliet.
During the festive ending of the course, we’ll be putting Nigerian culture in the spotlight. Participants will showcase how they’ve incorporated elements from their own and other cultures into their work.
Expect a fun-filled afternoon with a fashion show featuring the participants’ creations. There’ll be a DJ spinning tunes and stalls serving up delicious food and drinks.
